Olympic effort wins recognition

Business communications specialist Chepping Media Limited has scooped another prestigious Communicators in Business award for its flagship publication Argos Post.
The Post won the classification ‘Best communications project’ for its ‘Olympics’ fundraising campaign in support of the Whizz-Kidz charity, which works to give disabled children independence of mobility.
The award was presented during a special ceremony for CIB’s midland region at Birmingham’s Hyatt Regency Hotel.
It is the third time in four years that Chepping Media and Argos have won awards for Argos Post, a monthly 12 page, full colour, tabloid newspaper which is distributed to more than 25,000 employees at nearly 600 Argos stores and distribution centres throughout the UK.
"This award cuts across all categories," said Clair Chrzanowska, head of Argos internal communications. "It was awarded unanimously by the judges in terms of both the project itself, and the special issue of Argos Post which reported the event to the business."
Argos Post editor, Andrew Pill, was delighted with the award and noted: "Argos relies heavily on the creativity and dedication of Chepping Media to deliver a high-quality, monthly publication. This award celebrates the partnership between Chepping Media and Argos and it’s great to be recognised by the CIB."
Chepping Media’s editorial consultant Julie Norton, who handles the Argos account was equally pleased.
"Chepping Media has designed and produced Argos Post for more than 14 years," said Julie, who production edits the publication as well as contributing editorial.
"Creating a monthly publication of this size needs tremendous discipline and teamwork, and Chepping Media and the internal communications department at Argos work really hard to make it happen.
"This award makes all the effort worthwhile."
